Terms & Conditions

H2 Mathematics group lessons at Sterling Education Studio.

The key figures

  • S$100 per two-hour lesson, billed monthly by the number of scheduled lessons.
  • S$380 upfront deposit, refundable under the conditions below.
  • At least 4 weeks’ written notice to withdraw.

These terms apply to new enrolments where agreed before lessons begin. They do not automatically replace arrangements already agreed with existing students.

1. Lesson fees and monthly billing

Lessons cost S$100 per two-hour session. Worksheets and lesson materials are included.

Monthly fees are S$100 multiplied by the number of scheduled lessons: S$400 for four lessons or S$500 for five. The enrolment deposit is separate from monthly lesson fees.

2. Enrolment deposit

A deposit of S$380, is payable upfront when you enrol. It is held as a refundable deposit subject to the withdrawal and settlement conditions below.

The deposit is not automatically used to pay for the final month. Monthly lesson fees remain payable separately.

3. Withdrawing from lessons

Please give at least four weeks’ written notice before your final lesson. Send your notice to Sterling by WhatsApp at 8995 0501 or email at sterlingeducationstudio@gmail.com.

Lesson fees remain payable during the four-week notice period, even if the student stops attending earlier. If less notice is given, the insufficient-notice terms below apply.

4. Deposit refund

If the required notice has been given, the deposit will be refunded within 14 days after the last scheduled lesson. Any outstanding fees will be deducted from the deposit and the balance returned.

5. Withdrawal without sufficient notice

If a student withdraws without the required four weeks’ notice, the S$380 deposit is forfeited.

There is no additional withdrawal penalty or separate charge for the shortfall in notice on top of that forfeiture. Ordinary lesson fees already incurred remain payable.

6. If a student misses a lesson

There is no refund or fee deduction for a student’s absence.

Contact us to arrange a make-up lesson, an online lesson or a recording, subject to availability. We will confirm which option is available; all three options are not guaranteed for every absence.

7. If Sterling cannot run a scheduled lesson

We may arrange a relief tutor or a make-up lesson. If we cannot provide the lesson or a suitable alternative, we will credit or refund that lesson’s fee.

8. School and public holidays

School holidays do not automatically pause scheduled lessons or fees.

Public-holiday arrangements follow the centre-cancelled lesson policy above: a make-up lesson or suitable online or prerecorded lesson may be provided. If we cannot provide the lesson or a suitable alternative, that lesson’s fee will be credited or refunded.
